So we’re nearly two months in, we arrived in Vancouver 10 June 08 and got into our house the week after. We’ve managed to unpack most of the boxes, to decorate most of the rooms, to sort out most of our banking and insurance needs, to meet most of the people in out church .... but we’ve still got

Take captive every thought is the bibles command.
Over the last year I’ve had a lot more time for thought, and so have had a whole lot more work in trying to take them all captive. It’s certainly given lie to the dream of a work-less life. Work is a whole lot easier than extensive thought

I’m sat in Vancouver airport right now, waiting for a plane back to London, and I’m wondering just how it is that God will make clear to Jo and I where he wants us to be.
Too many times I’ve seen people claim to hear the voice of God to make themselves feel better about a choice they have made.

Ezekiel 37 was one of the lectionary readings this week (follow the link at the bottom if you want to read it), and one thing stuck out to me that hadn’t really grabbed me before.
